Why a Canadian Certified Pedorthist?

Canadian Certified Pedorthists - C. Ped (C) - are trained in the assessment and functionality of the lower limbs.  A C. Ped (C) can offer a wide range of services to help patient's with pain and discomfort they may experience in their lower limbs and feet.  Some common issues that are seen as a Pedorthist are as follows:

Plantar Fasciitis

Metatarsalgia

Bunions

Hammer/claw/mallet toes

Shin Splints

Diabetes

Achilles Tendonitis

Leg Length Discrepancies

Arch Pain

What can you expect during an assessment?

A typical pedorthic assessment takes approximately 45-60 minutes.  It is a hands-on examination of the foot and lower limb, followed by a gait analysis to assess the foot and leg biomechanics.  Following the assessment, we develop a custom orthotic device to help fit your needs based on the results of the assessment.  We may also review shoe fit and footwear that would be more suitable for your daily lifestyle.
